I'm sure you've asked yourself before, "How can I get more likes on my Facebook page?"

As humans, we like to see numbers climbing. Almost like a contest of sorts. More likes means more people know about you and support what you're doing.

However, Facebook (and Twitter for that matter) has diminished organic reach for posts. Say you have 2,000 likes on your Facebook page. The total reach of any post you make is going to be about 10% of your audience organically.

If you want the rest of your audience to see what you've posted, you're going to have to pay Facebook to reach them.

This is good business strategy for Facebook, but not as kind to the page admin (musician in our case).

What You Should Change In Your Posts

However, there is a way to reach more of your audience without paying for it.

VIDEOS!

Facebook rolled out a couple new features a few months ago with their video uploading. As I'm sure you've noticed, you can see the number of views a video has on Facebook now.

They want people to start using their video service more, so the organic reach a video has is usually double what a picture or text post gets.

As long as you post interesting and entertaining videos to your Facebook page, they're bound to get more likes and reach more of your target listeners

This Tool Is Better Than Facebook

Naturally, most musicians focus on building their social media platforms.

The thing is, it's hard to build a good relationship with each and every fan over social media.

A stumbling block for musicians is figuring out how to actually sell their music to listeners. Most try to alert their fans that the music is available on iTunes or Bandcamp, but all that does is make them aware that they can buy it.

You're not SELLING it to them. The best way to reach your listeners is through having a good mailing list.

Email is 11x More Effective Than Facebook & Twitter Combined!

I go into greater detail in my book, but if you don't have an email list started, you're screwing up big time. (Not just a list of contacts. An entire working system)

Many artists fail at making an email list because they're "link happy". All they do is spam people with their music links without giving any valuable content.

If you do that, you're sure to have a list of pissed off people who don't want to hear your music.

And another thing while I'm at it, DO NOT add people to your email list who don't want to be there. Once your list gets big enough the numbers are going to add up for your monthly bill.

Use My Mailchimp Link To Start Your List

Don't try running your mailing list out of Gmail. I see this happen far too much. Having a bunch of names in the contact line or trying to BCC people screams spam.

Use a professional service like Mailchimp to send out emails, and I have my affiliate link if you want to get the premium version FREE for 3 months! (You MUST sign up through the affiliate link to get the $30 discount, and the discount will activate once you go with the paid membership)

Why You Should Start Your List Today

If you have 1,000 email subscribers vs. 1,000 Facebook fans, it's likely that at least 25% of the people are going to actually open and read what you have to say.

With Facebook, it's much harder to grab attention with your music because people just scroll right past it. Again, I go deeper into the discussion in my book, but I've been doing this for a minute, you're going to have to take my word for it.

So get on this today! While you're sleeping, someone else is building their list and kicking your butt in the meantime!

KID TRAVIS (R&B, POP)

With an already buzzing YouTube audience of over 400K+ subscribers, Kid Travis wanted his Instagram profile to start gaining some of that same traction.

While you can get some spill over audience from YouTube, Kid Travis knew that Instagram ad campaigns could boost his presence on IG even further!

He discovered that trying to run Instagram ads yourself vs. having us add our years of experience and expertise to them made a huge difference!

His main goal was to achieve new followers who are seriously interested in his journey as an artist.

Kid Travis already had amazing talent but needed to combine his music genius with some marketing expertise to get the best of both worlds.

We were able to bring out the heart of his music through paid ads by editing & optimizing his existing videos and properly researching and structuring his ad campaigns.

The end results: We were able to consistently and predictably gain followers averaging between $0.25-$0.35 per follower (including a bulk of the promotion being done in high cost English speaking countries such as United States, United Kingdom, Australia, & Canada) resulting in around 4,000 new, engaged followers/month on Instagram.
