Music Festival Survival Guide For 2020: Post COVID-19
Written by Bella Scott
Coachella was right around the corner, fellow music lovers. But, due to the Covid - 19 pandemic most of our favorite festivals have been postponed. However, that does not mean you can not prepare for a music festival down the road. I know you must be bummed about this but there is still hope for future festivals. In the future, before you decide to up and leave, stuff your backpack with the things that you are going to need during the festival because you would be camping there for three days and you can’t get through the festival on your own without these life-saving supplies!
I am a cleanliness freak; and as much as I love going to a music festival, I hate interacting with people who do not take care of their hygiene AND manage to make excuses like: ‘they’re camping.’ I suggest you buy an empty kit of travel toiletry containers because you won’t have to carry a large shampoo bottle and toothpaste tubes with you during the festival.
You aren’t planning on spending the whole festival in the same t-shirt and shorts, are you? I don’t want you to pack a week’s clothing, but a few spare tees and a swimsuit will do you no harm. Packing an umbrella or a raincoat is also a good idea. It is better to carry a little extra luggage then regret not having brought clothes in case of an emergency. Besides, what is the best place to flaunt your new boho top other than this?
Some Food Options
It is not like you can’t find food at music festivals; it is just that those options aren’t very healthy and you don’t want to have to leave your spot in the crowd to go get food. Especially if you managed to get into the front row of your favorite band. Instead, I recommend that you pack a few granola bars. They are healthy, and you can munch on them when you feel like you need some energy.
Also, keep a hydrating backpack with you, it has the capacity of 2 liters, and it can easily last for a day.
Reminder: Do not forget the shades! Although the sun’s heat might not be scorching just yet, you need your protection against the sun. Shades also help avoid the many creeps you are bound to encounter at the festival. Pack some sachets of sunscreen lotions. Your skin needs protection against the sun as well.
Mobile Accessories And Charger
You can’t document the music festival if your phone isn’t charged. Bring a solar-power phone charger along with you, so that you may keep your phone’s battery full. Keep updating your friends and family about your activities on social media. There are also several mobile accessories like tiny LED lights and a portable fan that you can attach to your phone.
These are a few things that you can carry with you to a music festival, and they will help make your experience a lot better. Have fun!
