There’s no doubt that keeping your voice smooth and clear is a challenge, not to mention the added pressure of when it’s the cold weather and flu season. Thankfully, there are many strategies and tactics at your disposal to ensure that your voice is in its best possible shape, and ready to give a performance at any time. Amongst the most popular tools and strategies for singers is the VocalMist nebulizer, which we’ll cover in more depth below.

To learn more about how VocalMist works, our honest review, and how you can use it to keep your voice in tip-top shape, read on…

The VocalMist Nebulizer

So what exactly is the VocalMist nebulizer? In short, it’s a tool designed for singers, public speakers, and anyone else who uses their voice in a professional setting. VocalMist is a portable device that’s made to clear any dry throat, ease allergy symptoms, and ultimately help your voice stay smooth and in great shape.

The VocalMist portable device comes with a facemask, handheld nozzle, and USB rechargeable batteries, which makes it convenient for travel. As well, with the purchase of the VocalMist, can choose to add on their ‘hydration formula’ which is the fluid that turns into vapor once nebulized. This proprietary formula is largely the reason behind VocalMist’s incredible efficacy.

The company describes the fluid as having the ability to match what your body already does internally, which is why the fluid doesn’t contain any artificial ingredients.

How to use VocalMist

VocalMist is loved not only for the fact that it works so well, but because of how easy it is to use compared to other alternatives. Using the VocalMist involves pouring the hydration formula into the device, and then closing the cap. After ensuring the device is properly closed, you’ll be able to start using the nebulizer with the simple press of a button.

The team at VocalMist recommends using the device for up to 6-8 minutes, which is how long the device will emit the vapor. VocalMist nebulizer can be used every day without the risk of any adverse effects.

An important note about using the VocalMist nebulizer is not to add any droplets of essential oil or other substance into the hydrating vapor, as it can be dangerous.

Given how easy it is to use, many singers incorporate the nebulizer into their daily routine to prevent vocal strains and maintain the healthy vocal cord habit. They recommend using it 15 minutes before singing, or throughout the day if your throat is feeling clogged or dry.

Vocal Nebulizer vs Steamer

Now you may be wondering whether you should choose a nebulizer over a steamer, so let’s compare both options side by side. Firstly, the science behind a vocal nebulizer vs steamer is as follows: a steamer will convert water droplets into vapor, whereas a nebulizer will break down the particles even more which creates a finer mist that travels further down into your lungs.

Although both options can help your vocal cords, steaming is better for hydrating, and nebulizing is more effective for reaching the maximum effect by dispersing the mist further down into your vocal cavities.

The reason for the difference is that particles produced by a steamer are larger than those produced by a nebulizer, which makes it harder to travel further down. If ever in doubt, you can test both options for yourself and see what’s most effective for you.

VocalMist vs other steamers for singers

Although there are a ton of competitors out there, we’ll spare you the headache and compare the VocalMist with 2 close options.

Competitor 1: Vicks Personal Electric Steam Inhaler

The Vicks Personal Electric Steam Inhaler is another popular choice for singers. Now, how does the VocalMist nebulizer stack up against this device? Let’s see!

Firstly, both devices are relatively compact, although the VocalMist has slightly smaller dimensions and is more aesthetically pleasing. The Vicks device appears to look more like a medical device, which is something to consider if appearances are a priority to you. Unlike the VocalMist, the Vicks steam inhaler doesn’t come with a special hydration fluid, users will have to use regular tap or bottled water. This could be fine if you’re looking for regular hydration and support with clearing your dry throat, but if you’re more focused on long-term performance and preventing any dryness before it happens, then you’ll want to go with the VocalMist.

Although the Vicks device can do the job, a few cons that you want to be aware of include:

  • The device has a cord, so you’ll need to have access to an outlet in order to use it, making it a less desirable option for travel use

  • The device needs to lay on a flat surface, and cannot be moved around as easily since the fluid inside may spill and pose a safety hazard

  • The device takes around 5 minutes to start producing steam, which is longer than the VocalMist and other competitors on the market

Alternative 2: MyPurMist Personal Steam Inhaler Vaporizer

This device is another option you’ll hear of when on the market for a steamer or nebulizer. The MyPurMist tool produces a finer mist that goes deep, and notably deeper than the Vicks Inhaler, and the price tag reflects that. The device is wireless, easy to use, and portable, which makes it an attractive option. Although the price jump is quite intense compared to the Vicks device and other options, it is a reliable choice that has been used by celebrities.

Final Verdict: Is VocalMist Worth the Price? Our opinion and final review

In our humble opinion, we’d answer this question with a big ‘yes’! Why? Well… although the price tag is on the heftier side, it’s hard to find the full package deal in any other device on the market.

There’s no other option out there where you’ll get this level of depth with the fine particles, aesthetic and slender design, and the option to use a special hydration mist that helps to heal and prevent. The overall experience is something you’ll have to try for yourself, so we recommend testing the product out (there’s no doubt that you’ll get hooked!)

At the end of the day, personal preference prevails, but the VocalMist nebulizer is a crowd-pleaser, so it’s hard to go wrong with this option, especially if you’re blind buying!

With an already buzzing YouTube audience of over 400K+ subscribers, Kid Travis wanted his Instagram profile to start gaining some of that same traction.

While you can get some spill over audience from YouTube, Kid Travis knew that Instagram ad campaigns could boost his presence on IG even further!

He discovered that trying to run Instagram ads yourself vs. having us add our years of experience and expertise to them made a huge difference!

His main goal was to achieve new followers who are seriously interested in his journey as an artist.

Kid Travis already had amazing talent but needed to combine his music genius with some marketing expertise to get the best of both worlds.

We were able to bring out the heart of his music through paid ads by editing & optimizing his existing videos and properly researching and structuring his ad campaigns.

The end results: We were able to consistently and predictably gain followers averaging between $0.25-$0.35 per follower (including a bulk of the promotion being done in high cost English speaking countries such as United States, United Kingdom, Australia, & Canada) resulting in around 4,000 new, engaged followers/month on Instagram.
